Introduction
A speaker system was the main thing missing from my setup, I don’t mind using my headset while gaming but sometimes I just want to throw a Youtube video up or Spotify and not have something on my head. After a little browsing the Logitech Z333 Speaker System was what I settled on. What was I looking for in a speaker system? Aesthetics, quality sound and affordability – all of which the Z333 system accomplishes. Let’s start with what comes in the box if you decide to go with this system for your setup. Two sattelite speakers, one subwoofer, a power and volume control on a wired control pod and the documentation. Checking out the specifications table below you can get a feel for the size and compatibilty to see if they would be right for your setup depending on the space you have on your desk.
Sound Quality
Moving into arguably the most important aspect of any speakers – the sound quality. At this price point you are getting what you paid for, decent bass and pretty clear highs and lows. If you are looking to hear every detail across the EQ range I would not go in this direction but for everyday use and non-professional work the Z333’s have you covered. I particularly enjoy having the wired control pod so I can easily control the volume, I’ve placed it to the left of my monitor on my riser and it looks quite nice. If you want to control the bass of the subwoofer you need to do that on the back of the sub itself.
Aesthetics
Aesthetically the speakers made my setup feel more filled out, the empty spaces to the left and right of my monitor are filled and the sleek black look of the Z333’s make it so they don’t stand out and are an accent to the setup rather than a focal point that draws the eye. At there relativley small size of 7.56×4.25 inches these satellites are great for someone who doesn’t have a giant desk or a lot of extra space and then you can put the subwoofer somewhere underneath. I do have to mention that the small driver (tweeter) on satellite speakers is decorative and non-operational which was a bit of a dissapointment.
Conclusion
Overall, a solid speaker option for those of you who just want to lessen that dent on top of your head and give your ears some relief from the headset. The Z333’s provide you with some quality sound and features at an affordable price. I obviously would have loved if those top tweeters were actually real and not just for decoration but that is the only thing I was dissapointed in with these speakers.
